Save The Loom presents Olam – The New Wave, an exclusive range of premium cotton sarees that showcase the simplicity and elegance of evergreen Kasavu on a palette of manifold hues.

Handwoven in Chendamangalam as part of a social impact project, it enabled the preservation of traditional skills, better working conditions, and living wages for the artisans. Catering to modern aesthetics, the new age designs bring to the fore efforts of multiple human hands from pre-loom, loom, and post-loom processes.

Olam – The New Wave, is an exclusive range of cotton saris with kasavu detailing designed and handwoven in Chendamangalam, for the world. These exquisitely handcrafted saris are an outcome of a community impact program implemented by Save The Loom to uphold the rich weaving tradition in Chendamangalam. Ethically crafted with the finest cotton, the luxurious product is a result of new design thinking, fair wages to artisans, and ensuring better working conditions. These designs with varied color combinations at their core imbibe the values of a traditional craft honed by new-age design skills.

The product is dyed, woven, and finished by hand and may have slight irregularities that are natural outcomes of human involvement in the process, and it makes every piece unique.
Hand Edging of the sarees were done at Gandhi Smarka Grama Seva Kendram, Nanthiattukunnam, and Sree Narayana Sevika Samajam, Aluva.
Pre Washed at Dhobi Khana at Fort Kochi.
